The following is a list of terms used in the insights pages:

  • Match: A match is a series of games between players/teams, for example a best of 3 match would consist of up to 3 games between parties with scores of 2:0, 2:1, 0:2, 1:2 possible
  • Game: A game consists of a single competitive event between players | teams. A game may be part of a series between teams where the overall outcome is decided by the results of multiple games.
  • Event: A competitive series where teams and players participate for prizes. An event may consist of qualifiers where teams need to earn a spot in the finals. An event may be across a weekend or multiple weeks.
  • Closed Qualifier: The final set of qualifications before the main event. A closed qualifier is formed of teams from direct invites or who have received an entry spot from prior “open” qualifier events. (i.e. the qualification is “closed”to the public). A closed qualifier often has no prize money involved. Successful teams receive an entry spot to the “main” event.
  • Main: The core series of matches of an event that will result in the final standings of each team and the distribution of prizes
  • Kill Participation (kill%): The % chance that a player is involved in a team kill through either direct kill or assist.
  • Death Participation (death%): The % of the team’s deaths that the player has died.
  • K | D | A: Corresponds to “kills”, “deaths”, “assists” respectively. This reflects the player’s kills, deaths, assists within a game
  • KD: Kill:Death ratio. The proportion of kills and assists achieved in relation to deaths. Calculated as (kills + assists) / deaths
  • Game Win | Game Loss: Metrics disclosed under these reflect data only if the game was won by the player / team and if the game was lost by the player / team.
  • Pick number: The number the champion is chosen (on average) within the pick phase
